Consejo Counseling and Referral Service brings healing, health, and hope to communities through holistic, culturally, and linguistically competent behavioral health services and advocacy. Consejo aims to increase access to the highest-quality services and social supports so clients can participate in creating a whole, healthy, and thriving community. Consejo utilizes an interdependent treatment model, so clients experience acceptance, emotional security, and developmental growth while learning new skills to improve the quality of their lives.

Youth ages 13-24 

Cultural identities / affinity groups prioritized: 

Immigrant and Refugee, Latine/Latinx, LGBTQIA+  

All cultural identities and ethnic backgrounds 

Languages offered: 

English and Spanish 

Format: 

 

  • Telehealth/Virtual therapy 
  • In-person therapy sessions at a community office 
  • In-person therapy sessions at a school (within Seattle Public Schools) 

Mode:  

Individual therapy; Group therapy; Peer support services; Psychoeducational groups 

Frequency: 

Twice a month; Varies based on client need as well as level of risk and treatment goals   

Maximum # of Sessions: 

Depends on the needs of the client 

Time of day sessions are available: 

Weekdays during school hours; Weekdays after school 

Locations (In-Person therapy): 

Southwest Seattle; Southeast Seattle; Central District; Northeast Seattle; Northwest Seattle 

How to enroll: 

Best method for youth to enroll is to call our Consejo offices directly at (206) 461-4880. They will be routed to our Behavioral Health screener who can determine eligibility and schedule an intake assessment with the youth.  

  • Youth (13+) can self-refer 
  • Family/caregiver can refer youth 
  • Another provider can refer youth 
  • School can refer youth 
  • Enrollment support is provided directly to youth 

Enrollment wait time: 

2-3 weeks
